In the INHERIT report on success factors, barriers and future of intersectoral cooperation, results from the qualitative evaluation of 12 triple-win case studiesthat have been conducted in 11 European countries are presented. These evaluations have been conducted using focus groups from October 2018 to March 2019, and the primary goal was to collate qualitative information from implementers and stakeholders to provide further insight into factors that help ensure successful implementation of inter-sectoral initiatives, by looking into what elements were supportive or posed barriers for inter-sectoral cooperation. The secondary goal was to build capacity and motivation for future cooperation among cooperation stakeholders.
The evaluation followed a stepped approach, with central coordination and analysis by the RIVM, and local implementation and reporting of the focus groups by 11 INHERIT consortium partners. To make sure the 11 partners were equipped to organize, perform and report the focus groups in a consistent, comparable way, generating data that could be analysed by the RIVM in a similar way, all responsible INHERIT partners, focus group note-takers and moderators were expected to attend a webinar. In addition, partners received a handbook that complemented the webinar, and this handbook contains several practical documents for coordinators, moderator and note-takers such as scripts, checklists, note taking form and more.
Both the webinar and the handbook can be found at this page.
